Slapfish is known for serving sustainably sourced seafood. Its menu includes fish tacos, lobster rolls and shrimp salads, but it changes daily to reflect the current fresh catch.
Signature dishes such as the grilled fish bowl and the Mediterranean Sea salad are designed to stay the same, no matter what fish are available that day.

Founder and Slapfish chef Andrew Gruel started the company in 2010 with a single food truck in Southern California. By 2016, he had expanded to six locations throughout the region, including a Slapfish restaurant at Los Angeles International Airport.
Gruel later opened the brand up for franchising opportunities and is now seeking franchise partners. Interested parties can apply on the Slapfish website.
The restaurant now has locations from coast to coast, including California, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Maryland, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Utah and Texas.
What: Slapfish will give free lobster rolls to the first 100 people on Jan. 4 and free lobster taquitos to the first 100 people on Jan. 5.
